Bathroom ritual

 

Theme : Ritual

 

Inspiration for my ritual comes from my childhood, when I took bath. It was / is the one of the smallest room in the house and yet me, my mom, auntie and grandma met each other there. It was the place, where we were discussing all the important (as it seemed for a small kid) topics, it was a frequent place of our talks, our regular ritual.

My work is showing a view from a bath. From a place, where I was mostly sitting, surrounded by my family.

I wanted to demonstrate a view from a child perspective, my childhood memory. For colouring, I have chosen stylization close to the watercolour / aquarelle so it refers to water splashes in our bathroom.
